A Triple Tragedy

Bellefonte, Pa, Sept 28 - Sundayinornlng at 10 o'clock Zely Hopkins, of Phi lipsburg, shot his wife aud mother-in-law aad. then tried to kiü himseif, but was unsuccestful. From facts elicited it appeara that the family did not live agreeable and some time ago had parted, but lately have been uring together again. Sunday morning Hopkins, when intoxicated, provoked a quarrel with his wife, and becoming vlolently enraged procured a revolver and Bhot her dead. He then went up-stairs and shot his wife's mother dead, after which he proceeded to an adjoining livery stable where he Hhot himseif twice in the head, bat neither shot will prove fatal. He was placed under arrest imniediately and cont'essed the terrible triple crime.
