The Committee on Equalization of the Board of' Supervisors has agreed upon a report, and as usual Ann Arbor receives a nice "benefit," in the shaue of a raise ot $300,000 on her equalized valuation. The lst district of Yp9ilanti is raised $100,000 and Sylvan $41,000, all the other townships, except York, receiving the benefit from these rai.ses and having their equalized valuat'on lowered. The raise given Sylvan, although not a quarter of what shüuld be given the thriving township in which the village of Chelsea is located, wiil be a surprise to all, and to none more than Supervisor Gilbert, who, akhough, a member of the committee, was not present when action was taken with referenee to his township.
