BXHATX. Washington, Jan. 8. - Senator Morgan addressed the Senate yesterday in favor of tho bill providing for the emigration of colored peoplo from the South. A bill was introduced to provide for a World's Exposition at tho National Capital in 1892. Washington, Jan. 9. - The Senate after some routine business yesterday took up Senator Voorhees' resolution in regard to the failure of United States District Attorney Chambers, of Indianapolis, to arrest and prosecute W. W. Dudley, and Senator Voorhees spoke on the subject, severely arraigning the President and Mr. Dudley. Senator Edmunds (Vt.) replied to Senator Voorhees, and offered a resolution, whieh was adopted, CHtting out the preamble and charges anti for an investigation. Washington, Jan. 10.- The VicePresident laid before the Senato yesterday a communication from AttorneyGeneral Miller in which he states that no instructions, oral or written, have been given to District Attorney S. N. Chambers, of Indianapolis, on the subject of the arrest of W. W. Dudley. Several bilis of minor importante were reported and numerous appointments were confirmed. Adjourned to the 13th. Washington-, Jan. 1-L- In tho Senate yesterday Senator Mitchell introduced a bill to prohibit the coming of Chinese into the United States whether subjects of the Chinese empire or otherwise. Bills were reported for public buildings in St. Paul, Minn., 81,500,000; Sioux City, Ia., $500,000, andCedar RĂ¡pida, Ia., $300,000. HOUSE. Washington, Jan. 8.- In the House yesterday the rules were discussed at length, and a bill was introduced providing for a pension of S"2 per month to disabled soldiers requiring the aid of an attendant, and another bill giving dependent soldiers a pension not to exceed 815 nor less than six dollars a month, according to disability. Washington, Jan. 9. - In the House yesterday a bill was introduced providing that the terms of members of Congress shall begin January 1. Adjourned until the lOth. Washington, Jan. 10.- The House was noc in session yesterday. Washington, Jan. 11.- in the House yesterday resolutions were passed eulogizing the career of the late Judge Kelley and an adjournment was taken asa mark of respect to his memory. Washington, Jan. ia - Memorial services over the remains of the late Congressinan Kelley of Pennsylvanla, were held in the hall of the House of Represntatives on Saturday with the members of both houses in attendance. Washington, Jan. 14. - In the nouse yesterday bilis were introduced for the admission of Wyominj and Idaho into the Union; for an Indian industrial school in Michigan; to transfer the Pension Bureau to the War Department; declaring that no Mormon shall be eligible to vote at any election, or hold civil office in the Territories of the United States, or be naturalized as a citizen of the United States or settle upon any public lands; providing that the public lands shall bo sold only to citizens of the United States.
