Sentenced For Life

Elkader, Ia., Jan 13.- Wesley Elkins, the lJ-year-old boy who a weekago murdered his iather and stepmother in Elk township, this county, and made a complete confessionof thecrime, pleaded gullty beforo the district court now in session here to murder in tho first degree and was Saturday sentenced bj Judge Hoyt to imprisonment for life at hard labor at Anamosa. Young Elkina manifested no feeling when the sentence was pronounced. He is undoubtedly the youngest life prisoner ever sentenced in this State. The judge has ordered that the confeSsion shall not bo given to the public, owing to its sensational character.
