The first home I ever entered in Ann Arbor was tha". of Prof. Frieze. My stay was brief, but when I left it, I knew that I had found a friend. In my subsequent life iu Ann Arbor and since my remova], that friendship has been only inten?i5ed. I never met a man who to my miod so illustrated the greatest of the grand trio of virtuesan my departed friend. He was "kind," too kin! for his own needj and care. He "sought not his own," even hU wise counsel was more willingly given to another to utter than heard at his own lips. He"thought no evil," the ill report of another was 8omething he would not hear. Hi-i sympathy was so active that you would not wilingly teil him tl e tale of your sorrow. He was a godly man he received the truth in the love of it, he culüvated a devotional sp rit. Ia the church you saw him the devout worphipper, but when you drew near to him "alone," you siw " 10 me to live is Ohrist." For years during my rectorsbip, he gave hia services to St. Andrew'a at the organ. Who that atteuded ihe church in thoas days cn forget the admirable execution that it required no musical ability to oppreciate? Such a man in our daily pth? remiods us of the Apostlis': "Brethren be followers together of me and mark them which WHlk 60 a ye have us for an enaample." Msy God comfort bil smitten househrld. - Bishop G. D. Gilli-p;e ia the Cburch Helper. _________ Feit hats are sn iwn with so:t full crown madeofvelvet.
