Soldiers And The Census
Washington, Dec. 11. - The Grai d Army of the Republic is to be invited by Supt. Porter to co opérate with the census enumerators in making as complete as possible the list of names of the surviving veterans of the la! e war. These enuirerators, in addition to their other dutiea, are required to secure the names of all veterans, the nime of the reciment in which eacb served, the length of service disability, if any, etc. The pension ro la, and the rolls of the Grand Army posts, will be u-ed to insure accuracy. I would cali utention to above item and advise all old soldiers to join some G. A. R. Post before the first of June, 1890. It may be of great benefit to them. All sonsof ooldiers should get into some Camp S. of V. soon as pogsible. The eligible ge is eighteen. Yours in F. C. and L.,
