En. IÍF.cisTKn : - I was not a little surprised in íinding that the Ann, Arbor papers were partial to some portions of Northfielil. ïwo weeks ago when Edward Burke and bis brother Anthony, two boys under sixteen years of age, were arrested on complaint cf Jas. Loughan, a f-cliool teacher, for assault and battery, every city paper ehowed its vigilance in giving an account of the same to the public. A few weeks ago John Kearney, of Northfield, was arrested and brought before Justice Butts for a serious oifensp, had his examinalion, and wm held to the circuit court fur trial on complaint of Miss Nora Gast, a poor Germán girl, who was smployed as a domeetic in bis father's family", without frieads, except a father ignorant of our liinguge, and an invalid mother. Why was one case given publicity and the otber supprefsed? Cases of the latter kind have always been given publicity. and never belbre have the cily papers been j).irtial to any portion of Northfield. Why in this stance?
