The nnnouncement this week that the firm of E. F. Mills & Co. had purchased the large dry goods establishment of Wines & Worden, at Ann Arbor, caused universal regret as it would ceceasitate the removal of Mr. E. F. Mills and family from the community. Mr. Mills has been a resident of Albion for eight years and in all that time he has showo himself to be a capable and reliable mercliant and an enterprising and energetic oitizen whom the peuple of Albion will greatly miss. This is particularly true of the members and attendants of the fresbyterian church, where he has served as a member of the Church Session and also as Superintendent of the Sunday school. Mr. Mills has served the city as alderman, and in 1888 as mayor, and in all his offijial acts he has been characterized as a straignt-forward business official. His administraron as mayor was oue of the best the city has ever had. While the business ohange may result to Mr. Mills' adrantage, which his host of friends here hope for, he certainly cannot find warmer or truer friends than those he leaves in this city and vicinity. -
