(Crowded ont lat week.) Miss Alioe Cheeverhas returned from a visit to Three Rivers. Easter services were held in all the different churches, Sunday. Mr. Olarence Coryell is traveling for a Detroit stationary and paper house. Mr. Geo. Thompson of Detroit, spent a few days with Ypsi.friends last week. A Baptist Sunday school convention will be held in this city April 17th and 18th. The Episcopal young misses had a successful Easter sale, at the Occidental, last Thursday. Mrs. C. L. and Mr. John Alexander of Cleveland, spent Sunday with home friends here. Clarence Williams and wife of Charlotte have been spending a short time at Mr. Parker's. Mr. Leslie Boyce, son of John Boyce, has returned home from Arkansas, to spend some time. Postmaster Cremer started for New York last Friday, for a little visit and to accompany his wife home. The 7th annual meeting of the Womans' Home Missionary society, is held to-day in the Presbyterian church. Miss F. L. Stewart, sec'y at the Normal, was called to Detroit last Friday, on business concerning the Normal. Rev. Mr. Fairöeld, once a pastor of Ihe Congregational thurch of this city, has received a cali to the Congregational church of Ormond, Florida. Lamb, Davis & Kishlar have decided to add a dress making establishment to their dry oods store, andfhave secured the services of a Freni'h modiste and assistant. The Women's Foreign Missionarj society of the Detroit Presbytery, held their 17ih annual meeting in this city, Wednesday. The afternoon meeting was addressed by Mr. Ando, a Japanese student from Ann Arbor. Kev. Mr. Morey was installed last evening, as pastor of the Presbyterian church. The services were very interesting. The sermón was preached bv Bev. Mr. Bronson of Detroit, the charge to the people was given by Rev. Mr. Gelston of Ann Arbor and the charge to thepastor by Rev. Mr Service of Detroit. The election on Monday pa-sed off wi'.h little excitement and resulted as follows: Mayor, Prof. DanM Putnam, R; Supervisor, lst Dist., David Edwards, R.; Supervisor. 2d Dist., James Forsyihe, D.; Justife. Khaflfcr, D ; Aid. 5th ward, John Terns, D. This gives a republican touncil.
