SENATE. Washington, April 9. - In the Senate yesterday the Montana elcction cases were further disoussed, but without action. The anti-trust bill rcported as a substituto for Mr. Sherman's measure was passed - yeas, 52; nays, 1. Washington, April 10. - Most of the time in the Senate yesterday was spent In discussing the Montana election case and the Chinese enumeration bill. No action was taken on either matter. The House bill appropriating S75,000 to supply the deficiency occasioned by the defalcation in the office of the late Sergean t-at-Arms of tho House was passed. Washington, April 11. - In the Senate yesterday the bill to revive the grade of Lieutenant-General in the army was reported, and the Montana contested election case was further discussed. Mr. Cullom introduced a bill to prevent Mormons in Utah from voting or holding any political office. Washington, April 12. - The consideration of the Montana election case was resumed in the Senate yesterday. The House bill for the world's fair at Chicago was reported by Senator Hawley. Washington, April 14. - Bills were passed in tho Senate on Saturday to increase pensions ior certain cases of deafness to S40 a month; giving South Dakota, North Dakota, Washington and Montana 5 per cent. on the sale of public lands; transferring the weather bureau to the Agricultural Department and reorganizing the signal service. D Washington, April 15. - In the Senate yesterday resolutions of respect to the memory of the late Samuel J. Kandall were adopted and adjournment was ordered. HOUSE. Washington, April 9. - In the House yesterday the bill to prevent the enlistincnt of alins in tha naval service was passed. The bilis to retire MajorGeneral Stoneman with the rank of Colonel and for a bridg" over the Missouri river near Sioux City, Ia., were favorabiy reported. Washington, April 10. - In the House yesterday the naval appropriation bill was considered and the bill for a publio building at Galesburg, 111., was reported favorabiy. Washington, April 11.- In tha House yesterday bilis we.-e introduced to incorpĆ³rate the Society of the Sons of the American Eevolution, and to reclassify railway mail clerks into seven classes, with salaries ranging from $800 to 81,800. The naval appropriation bill was further discussed. Washington, April 12.- In the House yesterday the contested election case of Waddill vs. Wise, from the Third district of Virginia, was discussed, and the Torrey bankrupt bill, which provides fora uniform system of bankrupt laws for the United States, was favorabiy reported. Washington, April 14. - In the House on Saturday the contested election case from the Third district of Virginia was decided by the seatingof Edmund Waddill, Jr. (Rep.), in place of George D. Wise. Public business was then suspended and fitting tributes to the memory of the late James Laird, a Representativo from Nebraska, were paid. Washington, April 15. - In the House yesterday the death of Samuel J. Randall was announced and resolutions of respect were adopted. after which an adjournment was taken.
