Death Of An Old-time Congressman

POUGHKJEEPSIE, X. Y., Juno 2. - John Thompson, ono of the most prominent lawyers in Ibis city, died suddenly Sunday at his country residence at New Hamburg of heart Üisease. Mr. Thompson representcd the district in Congre&s in 1857-5; and was one of the first trustees of Vassar College. He was 81 years of age.
