ScoTTiiAVKN, l'a., July 7. - A keg containing fifty pounds of powder exploded in August Smith's grocery store at Industry, noar Scotthavon, Saturday evening, wrecking the building and in juring geven children, four of thera fatally. The explosión was caussd by sparks frora a fire-craeker, which was exploded prematurely in the hands of August Smith, Jr., aged 14 years. Youn({ Smith's body was byrned to a crisp, and he wa otherwise torribly mangled. His 19-months-old sister, Mary, George and Willie Kahlor, aged rospectively 8 and 6 years, and John Hrennan, aged 10 years. Willie Kahlor lived till Sunday aftornoon, suffering fearfully until death relieved him. The others died before midnight. Emma Smith and Charlie Shaw, the other victims, will recover.
