Couldn't Swim The Rapids

Y., July 5. - John Lincoln Soules made an attempt to swim the whirlpool rapids Friday afternoon, but unlike several who have done this feat before him he only went a short distance in the wild waters of the narrow gorge and was pulled ashore, quite to his pleasure, before he had gotten fairly into the rapids.
