Lincoln, 111., July 11.- The Demócrata of the Fourteenth Illinois district have nominated Owen Scott for Congress. Le Maiís, Ia., July 11.- The Eleventh district Republican t'onressional convention nominated Gcorgc Perkins, propietor of the Twin City Journal, to succeed I. S. Strubble. Huron, S. D., July 11.- The Independent State convention, held here Thursday, nominated P. C. Zlpp, of Deadwood, and A. A. Leavitt, of Worthing, for Congress. Columbus, O., July 12.- At Orrville, in the Democratie Congressional convention for the Sixteenth Ohio diatrlct, ex-Lieutenant-Governo? John G. wiek was nominated tosucceed William McKinley in Congress, on the seventyiourth ballot Glencoe, Minn., July 12. - The Farmers' Allianoe Congressional convntion for the Third district nominated V. W. Gable, a farmer of McLeod County, for Congress. Chicago, July 15.-- General Wal ter 0. Newberry was nominated for Congresa by the Fourth district Democrats on the seoond formal ballot at Turner hall yesterday. The Democratie Congreasional convention for the First Illinois district nominated W. G. Ewing for Congress yesterday.
