The Maccabee Excursionists
About two hundred Knights of Maccabee, with thoir families and friend, took the special train for Toledo, on Tuesday morning last. They arrived at their destination at about ten o'clock and at once took ihe steamer, Evenine Star, for a trip up the Mauniee river to Perrysburg. After a ha9ty look at the historie Fort MeigJ, they returned down the river to Presque Isle, where a picnic dinner was served. In the afternooQ, they attended a pleasant entertainment given at the island opera house by the Boston Opera troupe. They left for Toledo at about 3ciO o'clock, and spent the remainder of the day viewiDg the sights of that bu9y city. The home-bound train was taken at eight o'clock. A somewhat smiller number of people attenried the excursión than was exptcted, but the managers hope to be able to clear expenses at least. Those who went are enthusiastio over the good time which they enjoyed.
