Repnbllcnii State Convention. HIADQ1ARTERS REPEBI.ICAN STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE. Detroit, July 12. 1890. A State Conventlon of the Republicana of Michigan will be held at the Detroit rink, Detroit beginning at 2 o'clock p. M., Wednesday, August 27, and continuing Thursday, August 28, 1890, for the purpose of nouiinatiug candidates for state offices and for Justice of the Supreme Court, to fill vacancy; also for the purpose of se lccting a chairman of the State Central Committee and two members thereof from each congressioual district, and the transaction of such other business as may properly come betore it In accordance with a resolution adopted at Grand Rapids, May 10, 18T5. every county will be entitled to one delégate for each 600 of the total vote cast for Governor at the last State election (November, 1888), and one additional deligate for every fractlon amounting to 300, but each organized county will be entitled to at least one delégate. ünder a resolution of 18i8, no delégate will be entitled to a seat in the convention who does not reside in the county he propoies to represent. The delegates from each congressional district are requested to meet in caucas at 12 o'clock noon, Wednesday, August 27, and select candi dates as follows, to be presented to the State Convention for conflrmation : Two members of the State Central Committee, one Viee-Fresident, one Aasistant Setretary and one member for each of the Committeeson ' Credentials,'' "Resolutions," "Permanent Orgnnization and Order of Business." The Republican ward caucuses of the City of Ann Arbor wlll be held on Tuesday evening, August 19, at 7 o'clock local time, for the purpose of electing delégales to the county conventiou to be held on Thureday, August 21, at the following places: First ward- O. M. Martiu's office. Second ward- John Uelnzmann's store. Third ward- Agricultural J-oom at Court House. Füurth ward - Fireman's Hall. Fifth ward- Engine Hou=e. Sixth ward- Engine House. The Republicana of Ann Arbor township are requested to meet at the agricultural room in the basement of Court Hou?e on Monday p, m. at 3 o'clock sharp, August 18th, to elect four delegates to the County Convention to be held at Aun Arbor August 21 st.
