Prof. Steere shipped a car load of onioiis west recently. Will Pease and sister Maggie are attending the Normal. Nearly all the Germans took in German Day at Aun Arbor, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. F. E. Parsons spent Sunday with Wm. Avery, of York. The Sunday school of district No. 5 held theír annuul picnic in Munson's grove last Saturday. A very young daughter was introduced to the family circle to Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gessier last Tuesday. Malera. Miss Cora Kingsley ia visiting at Northville. Miss Daisy Corson, of Petoskey, is visiting relatives here. Frank Ryder has been drawnas juror for the October term of circuit court. Mr. and Mrs. Daken have retnrned I from visiting at Williamston and Dansville. Rev.Mr. Sutherland, of Glencoe, Ont., is visicing his daughter, Mrs. Dr. Frederick. Miss Jones and sister, Miss Lewis, of Detroit, visited their brother, J. Lewis, last week. Dr Tweedale has returned from St. Thomas and London, Ont., where he has been spending a few days. E. E. Rector removes to Portland this week, having eecured a position with the Portland cheese factory. Rev. Mr. öutherland, of Glencoe, Ont., occupied the pulpit of the Congregational church last Sunday evening. Mrs. I. I. Mills and daughter, of Rivea' Junction, who have been visiting Mrs. E. O. Smith, have returned home. The Patrons of Industry were esh;blished here last Monday night, with twenty-one members and P. H. Merry as president.
