A Prairie Fire

St. Paul, Minn., Oct. 0. - A large portion of the town of Lawrence, Grant County, Minn., has been devastatod by a prairie fire during the last two days, which destroyed fully S+(),000 worth of property. The flre started in the southwest part of the town from einders dumped in a roadway from a thrashing engine, and, fanned by a strong south wind, swept across the township, consuming every thing in its path. ïhousands of acres are black and desolate, and at least a score of farmers report great loss.
