The doublé breasted waistcoat has lost its individuality in the swirl of the general doublé breasted movement throughout all the branches of outer apparel, and the boom it was expected earlier in the season to take on has been well nigh snufEed out. Fur overcoats are worn with loose backs, wide slee ves and collar of about four inches; the cuffs are about uve inehes wide and a narrow strip of fur is sewn inside of the bottom of the sleeve. Where the cuffs are missing a broad shawl collar makes up for this want. A cape waterproof overcoat of liberal length, coustructed upon the cut of the stylish Inverness capes, is the most recent arrivaL The material used is a mixed brown or gray chieviot in effect, and a velvet collar gives the appropriate finish to this most distinguished raincoat that has vet appeared. Aside frota the crush hat, the tall slik stovepipe is the only appropriate headgear to be worn witb evening dress. Swelldom wili welcome the opera hat back again w hen the proper time arrivés, for the silk hat is upoa occasions very much in the way and decidedly inconvenient to manage. Well made trousers are seen at their best under the present accepted vogue as to measurements. The tendenoy toward the absurd balloon revival has been happily checked. The correct trousers are now cut reasonably snug about the hips, witfiW straight fall and a slight shaip taper towards a point at the bottom.
