Beíore her death the membi rs of her company were called nbi,v:t h,r bedside and sho bade theia a pleasant farewell. The scenc was voiry pathotic. The great singcr was consejous ulraot to the last moment and her last worda were: "I am not af raid to die." The body was embalmed ond inclosed in a lianJsome casket and will go irnm here to Denver, thence to Chicago, and thence to Gloucestcr, Mass.,where herhusbandis buried. The fameus i-ong'stress was born in Chicago (vrhore hermother now resides) in 1890, and leaves at her death a fortune of over 81,000,000.
