San Andrkas, Cal., Jan. 6. - Twelve men wcrc killed in tlie Utica mine at Ang-el's carap Monday. A load of men was being lowered into the mine and when tliey were 150 feet {rom the surface the rope broke, precipitating them a distance oí 450 fect to the bottom oí the sli aft.
