Not long ago members of the Ann Arbor commandery visited Jackson, and were royalty entertained. On Tueaday evening it became the privilege of the local Knight Templara to return the favor. At half past four o'clock they marched to the Michigan Central depot and escorted the visiting knighta „to the hall, where a banquet was prepared. The degree of the Temple was conferred upon Dr. E. E. Hageler. In the mean tiine the ladies of the party were entertained at the residence of J. E. Beal. They were escorted to the hall shortlv after nine o'clock. From that time till the train left for Jackson, 4the guests were entertained with dancing and card-playing. A large number of ladies and gentlemen caine Irom Ypsilanti, Chelseaand other places.
