Chicago, Feb. 7.- World's fair appropriations are under consideration in the Beveral State Legislaturas, and the following statement has been prepared by the Department of Publicity and Promotion. In the following eight the Governors have prepared and recommended bilis appropriating money for exhibits, but the Legislatures have not yet convened: Arizona. Georgia, Michigun, New Jersey, North Carolina, Nevada, Wyoming and Utah. "3,000 Nebraska 150 North Dakota SO.00 Total $4,087,000 New York .... 33:1.000 In the following four the bilis have paseed Üie Senatie; Colorado, lowa, Oklahoma, and VermÓBt In tlie following six the bilis have passed the lower House: California, lowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, oklahoma, and Vermcnt. In the following three bilis have passed both Houses; lowa, Oklahoma. ;ui(! Vcrmont. In the following two they have also been signed by the (lovernor and are in íull forcé: lowa and Vermont. In Arkansas the bill has been defeated. The appropriations from California and Texas representthe smallest part of the amount to be expended for State displays. Commissioner DeYoung saya California will spend fully fl,500,000, and the people of Texas are already at work to raise Sl,000,000.
