New York, April 6. - When Edwin Booth, at the close of the performance in the Brooklvn acodemy of music Saturday afternoon, rame before the ourtain in response to applause that vvould not be silenced until he had spoken, he said in a voice that betrayed his emotion: "I&dies and gentlemen, I don't know that I liave anything to say beyond my usual speech - "I thank you.'
