Fleck is another stern defender of the hen and skeptical concern ing incubators and incubatéd chicka. An anthority in The Fanciers' Journal gets at the real issue in the remark that there is really more in the proper rearing of the incubator chicks after they are hatched fchan in the hatching. He sys: "We hatch chickens by both hen and incubator, aod reitérate the statemenl that arüficialjy hatched and reared chickens will lay as well, feel as well and score as well aa those raised by natnre's methods."
