Mieh., April 35. - At a late hour Friday afternoon the seeretary of the City Railway Cornpany addressed a letter to Mayor Plngree accepting his sugrestion to arbítrate the present troir.)le between the company and its employés. The letter, whtch is urnbiguous in its wording1, has thrown considerable oU upon the troubled waters, and it is thong-ht the strike will be a thing of thé past within the next forty-eight hours. The stnkers are jubilant at the turn matters have taken and the city rinnrs witli their shouts as one of their impromptu bosses passes from time in time. Public sympathy is entirely ith the men and liberal colleetions have been taken in the various parts of the ritv for them during the last two days. lt is not thought that any atteinpt to run cara vill be made till the committee on arbitration reports.
