Pioneer Society

The annual meeting of the Washtenaw County Pioneer and Historical Society was held in Dexter yesterday. Judge Harriman delivered an able and appropiiate address. The Dexter Quartette and Mr. Williama, of Webster, rendered excellent music. t The ladies of Dexter furnished dinner for theold settlers who were present. The following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, Rev. Thomas Holmes, of Chelsea; secretary, J. Q. A. Sessions, Ann Arbor; treasurer, Edward Treadwell, Ann Arbor; necrologist, Wm, H. Lay, Ypsilanti. A vice president for eacfi township and city was also elected, The next meeting will be held in Chelsea.
