Itseems as though "papa, mamma and the twins" had come from every nook and corner of Michigan to see "John" or "Emily" meekly etand on the chapel rostrum at the Normal and receive that all important white document tied with sky blue ribbon and which the Johnsand Emilies (and there's 128 of 'em) have honestly earned by months and years of hard mental labor. Goodness, me! and aren't the youngsters putting on airs, too, with their graduating songs and speeches and diplomas ! Why, one of 'em, a smart little miss, was'overheard tosay the other morning, "Of course we'll have our exercises in tñe Normal chapel; guess if we're not good 'nuff for that chapel, we aren'c going to bother to learn so many graduating things;so there!" There's to be a heap of changes in the Normal and Union school force of teachers. So there's a deal of sighing and some falling of briny tears, and withal, much wondermenl as to who'll fill the vacant places and where will Professors Bellows and
