They are to extend their front show Windows to the ground ; to enlarge the entrance to the store by widening it ten feet, with píate glass Windows on either Bide. On the second üoor a glans front is to be put in whioh will make one of the finest carpet rooms in the state. Other parts of the building will be remodeled and many improvements made. Anticipating this ohange the firm baa been giving the people of the city and surrounding oountry a benefit. Their recent sale of onc cent prints was phenomenal, as they could not begin to accommodate tbe vast crowd which assembled long before the hour of sale. They regret exceedingly they were unable to accommodate them, also that any of the ladies were hurt, bat the people seemed possessed to get the goods, and in the rush to secure them several ladies fainted, but notwithstanding all this, thousands were made happy. Mack & Schmiil is the first firm in the city ever to put in the market firstclass prints at the extremely low prioe of one cent per yard, and the people appreciated it, judging by the vast crowd which attended tlie sales.
