Taber left yesterday for Dakota o look after his farminginterests there. Miss Annie Dietz leaft Tuesday for a vacation of two weeks at Devils Lake. C. E. Waters, of Plainfield, has enered into the employ of F. T. Stimson. W. W. Nichols and family will go to camp next Saturday at Whitmore Lake. Miss Adele V. Smith, of Washington, O. C, is visiting Miss Mary A. Keating. Charles Crane, of Grand Rapids.formerly of Ann Arbor, was in the city Monday. Homer A. Henderson, of Cleveland, ïas been yisiting his mother in this city. Mrs. G. Brown has removed his residence, 28Thompson-st, to the Hamilton block, room No. 10. Mrs. and Mrs. Morris Sale, of St. Louis, have been visiting Mre. Sale's brother, Saín. Langsdorf. Charles Burg, of Grand Junction, Col., is visiting his brother, John Burg, after an absence of eleven years. Albert Lohr and family, of Marshall, have been spending a few days with relatives and friends in the city. Mrs. Harriet Lucas and Miss Emma Severance, of Dunkirk, N. Y., ate the guests of Mr. and Mrs. N. G. Butts. Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Walker, of Dansville, N. Y., have been spending a week at Dr. F. H. Brown's, on Tliompson-st. Harry W. Douglas and Fred S. Richmond left Monday for Topinabee, Mich., where they will visit two weeks. J. D. Ryan returned Friday, after a pleasant trip around the lakei?. He was a member of Mrs. Governor Winans' party. W. K. Childs, with his family, spent Sunday with his parents in Augusta. His brother, Col. J. W.Childs, of Washington, was also there. Nineteen happy choir boys on Monday rode in two omnibuses to North Lake, where they are camping this week with Rev. HenryTatlock Prof. Fred X. Scott returned Sunday nigbt from Pasailena, Cal., where he attended the funeral of his father. He was obüged to give up his work at the summer school in the Adirondacks. Miss Carrie Eisele is viaiting in Detroit. Mrs. M. E. Davis starts for Philadelphia today. Mr. and Mrs. F. C. Gage left yesterday for Concord. Mrs. C S. Millen is spending a few days at IN'orth Lake. Miss Louise Gerstner returned on Saturday from Jackson. Miss Anna Flynn leaves next week for a visit in Canada. Mrs. C. G. Darling and son are visiting in Lakeside, Ohio. Miss Fannie Gardner has gone to St. Louis, Mich., for a visit. Mrs. Wm. Biggs will return from Omaha, Neb., next Saturday. W. E. Price left Tuesday morning for Arbor Springs, near Wequetonsing. Mrs. Clarence Case, of Manchester, was v8iting friends in the city last week. Misses Sarah Flynn and Hannah Ryan leave this week for a trip around the lakes. Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Green, of Homer, are visiting their daughter, Mrs. L. H. Clement. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lott, ofColumbus, Ohio, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Jacobs. Henry Schneider. of Detroit, spent Saturday and Sunday with old Ann Arbor friends. Charlea A. Green returned last week from Old Mexico and spent a few days with A. W. Hainilton. Nichols and family leave next Saturday for Portage Lake, where they will camp out nearly two weeks. Mrs. Allie Atwood and daughter, of Mt. Clements, and Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Snook, of Rochester, have been the guests of Mrs. M. S. Hitchcock during the past week. Miss Susie Barringer has returned from Monroe, where she has been visiting friends and relatives, and will leave for Bay View, Aug. 20, where she will spend the eummer with her sister, Mrs. G. Y. Ehnis. Hon. H. E. Turner, of Lowville, N. Y., judge of Lewis County Court, has been visiting his sister, Mrs. W. W. Whedon. He is one of the regents of the University of the State of New York. Mrs. S. Good and Mrs. J. Schneider, of Chicago, mother and sister respectively of Mrs. D. F. Schairer, are in the city. During the absence of Mr. and Mrs. Schairer in the east they will remain with the family.
