The studente of Glasgow university have presented an address to Sir 'VUliam Thomson congratulating him on his accession to the presidential chair of the Royal Society of London. Sir William, in thanking them for this mark of sympathy, avowed his sympathy with their efforts and objects, and declared himself a student like themselves.
