Killed By Her Lover
Bloomington, 111., Sept. 8. - About 9 a. m. Dr. C. E. Ballard, a member oí a prominent f arally at Saybraok, in thls county, shot and killed Miss üertha Ison and then killed himself. He had been engaged to the lady and on Saturday he took out a license to marry her. She changed her mind on Sunday and refused him. During the morning he made a final appeal, and, being refused, shot her through the heart. He then shot himself three times in the breast and once in the hcad and died in a few moments.
