After less than ayear'sservice in Ann irbor, the Rev. R. H. Rust has been called to a different field. On Sr.nday list he said the farewell words, not pteachinga set sermón, for oí that he disapproved. The administration of the holy communion was made the occasion of his remarks. The Lord's Supper, said he, was established to keep in reniembrance the life of Jesus Christ. It had its basis in the deepeBt feelings of the human heart. lts purpose was to develop Christiau fellowship and unity ndawakena feeling of personal responsibility. Participation in the communion should inspire all Christians with renewed zeal and energy. Rey. E. H. Rust, D. D., graduated at Weeleyan University at Middletown, Conn., in the class of 18C5, and at the Tnion Theological Seminary in New York City in 1868. He was a classmate of Prof. Martin L. D'Ooge, dean of the Taiversity of Michigan. After gradnation, he spent a year in Europe in study wd travel. He bega n his ministry in the New York East Conference, occupyngleading pulpits. His last appointnent there was Nostrand Avenue, Brooklyn, from whence he was transteed to the New England conference tód from there to the Cincinnati conferece, to assume the presidency of the Cincinnati Wesleyan college. In 1882 to Berved a full pastorate at Grace chnrch, Dayton, Ohio, and another full Wtorate of five years at Springfield, Ohio. He waB transferred to the Detroit conference and stationed at Ann ifbor last September. Dr. Rust aslunes the presidency of the Cincinnati Wesleyan college, Sept. 1892. He will 'STe Ann Arbor the last of this month Wd spend a year abroad in preparation 'ot his educational work.
