Cracked The Safe

Baldwin, Mich., Sept 12.- Friday morning about 2 o'clock craeksmen shattered the saíe of J. S. Stearns, at Stearns' siding, 0 railes west of here. They secured a little over 81,000 and started south. The bilis were fresh and of the new series of tens and twenties. The men were twenty-four hours too late, as the day before was pay day, and over S4,00ü was paid out. The men were ' evidently professionals, and doubtless knew the firm had a large Bum in its possession.
