Edward Duffy Honored

The appointment of Edward DuiFy, of Ann Arbor, as a member of the consolidated Prison Board was announced )y Gov. Winans last Saturday. The ïoard will becomposedas follows:Francis Palms, Detroit; O. M. Barnes, Lansing; Edward Duffy, Ann Arbor, and Milo D. Campbell, Coldwater. The act rovides that the terms of the first appointees shall be eight, six, four.and two reara respectively. The governor has not indicated which shall have the onger term, but it is thought that the ength of service is to be in the order named, Mr. Duffy thus having the term of four years. The emolument, as provided by the act, is $5 per day and expenses. Mr. Duffy attended an informal meeting of the board in Lansing, Tuesday morning.
