E. C. Smith, of Pontiac, grand commander Knights Templar, inspected the Ann Arbor commandery Monday. He was received at the depot by a committee consisting of J. R. Miner, W. G. Doty, C. E. Hiscock, B. F. Watts and J. W. Bennett, who escorted him to the asylum. Lunch waa served at the residences of W. G. Doty , B. F. Watts and J. K. Miner. In the evening the order of the Temple was conferí ed upon M. M. Reed, of Ypsilanti, after which carne the banquet. Reaponses to toasts were made by Grand Commander Smith, Past Grand Commander Doty, Rev. T, W. MacLean, of Bay City, Samuel Post, Ypsilanti, and several othere. Mr. Smith expressed himself as highly pleased with the Ann Arbor commandery.
