A Strange Disease

Coi.umbvs, Ind., Oct. 24. - A peculiar disease has developed in the McGulgan iamily, near here. Each member ol the famil.y with the right eye can see ft preat distance, whüe with the left eye they cannot reeognize objects acrosl the street. Xo spectacles so far tested can improve the defect of the left eye and make it conform to the right. The eyeballs are plnmp and full, and tlie ris is of the same sise and color in each, and the retina shows no defect or diseased tissues, yet thj fibers of the left eye seem eoarser than those of ordinary eyes.
