Columbus, O., Oct. 24.- Philip Steinmetz, a life prisoner at the penitentiary, died of heart failure. He was' the oldest prisoner at the prison, haring been received írom Toledo in June, 1865, to be cxecuted for the murder oí Adolph llooker. Gov. Ha.ycs commuted the sentenee ipon condition that he Sbould never be pardoned out. Steinffletz was aed 72 years.
