Mrs. J. T. Sunderland, of this city, de livered an address, Thursday, before the National Convention for the Advancement of Women, in wnich she insisted that foreigners become citizens too soon and that, in Ann Arbor, they block the wheels of progress so far as the abolishment of the salooni is concerned. - Register. It would be interesting to see what Ann Arbor would be with these blocks to the wheels of progress.the foreign citizens,eliminated. The three eleraents of Ann Arbor's prosperity are the University, the Court House, and last, but not least, the foreign element in the business of the city, and in the sturdy farmers of Manchester, Bridgewater, Preedom, Lodi and Northfield, a majority
