EJmunds (Vt) and Matthew Keagan (Tex.) were read, and tlie appointmnts of Horace Chilton (Tex.) and Redöeld Proc-tor (Vt.) were announccd. Papers relatiye to the electioii of Wilkinson Cali (Fia.), wliose seat ík cohtested by R. Davidson, were duly presented. When the name oí Caichi S. Brice, senator-elect from Ohio, was called, Senator Sherman (0.) said that as Mr. Brice had his credentials he was entitled to be sworn in% but that this wu not to be considered as waiving any rights il the Ohio legiglftture should discover Mr. Brice was ijjeUgible. All who presented themselves were fiworn in except Messrs.. DuboSe, oi Idaho, and Cali, oí Florida, Senator Hale (Me.) objected. to Mr. Uuboie takiog the oath Senator George (Mia#.) contended for the formal admissios oí Mr Cali. After other routine business the senate adjourned. HOUSE. Washington, Dee. 6. - The house was called to order promptly at noon yesterday by Clerk McPherson, and after 'he annonnecd the presenee of 826 ineinbers the house iinmediately, on ttotionofMr. Holman (Ind. ). adjourned until noon to-day.
