Daveni'ort, la., Dec. 21. - Edward Kussell died at Minneapolis Saturday raorninff, aged 6'3 years. At IS years of age he carne to Davenport and lived here until 1887. He was editor of the Davenport Gazette for more than nineteen years and postraasUr here for seventeen years, his oommissiona having been sifjned by Abraham Lincoln, U. S. Orant, E. B. Hayes and James A. Garfield. During Johnson's term lie resigned, but wa reappointed. He was secretary of the Eennepin canal commission for years.
