Lena, 111. , Jan. bO. - A special train ' of ten coaches containing lurabermen of Minnesota, North and South ' kota, Nebraska and Iowa, members of the Northwestern Lumbermen's association, was wreeked by a brokcn rail 2 miles from Kent, on the Chicago & Great, Western at 12:55 o'clock Saturday. Walter E. Akers, a mcmber of a apolis law flrm, was killed and forty other persons injured. Mr. Akers had just left the commissary car and was i on the platform when the coaches left i the track. Akers' body was found in a snowdrift some distance from the wreek and was frightfully man g-led.
