For The Imperial Institute

An Australian lady has resolved to commemorate the queen's jubilee by presenting a peal of ten bells to the imperial institute at South Kensington. The bells are to be named after varions members of the royal family, and the whole peal is to be styled, by the permission of the princess of Wales, the Alexandra. They will be exeelled in the metropolis only by the great peal of St Paul's, and will be the highest in the country, as they are to be swung in a chamber 200 feet over the level of the ground floor. The donor's only condition is that the bells shall be rung on the birth day and eommemoration day of the sovereign and the birthdays of the princess and prince of Wales. They are to be fully completed and rung on the occasion of the inauguration of the institute by her majesty next year.
