Chicago, June 6.- The trust convention, which met at Apollo hall yesterday, was composed of delegates f rom nearly every state in the unión. Got. Nelson, of Minnesota, presided. The objeets of the convention were setforth as follows: S"It is the duty of this convention to créate and diffuse a healthy and vigorous moral tone and purpose The people should be made to see and feel the enormity of the evüs entailed upon the community by the meana, methods and énds of the modern trust It Is not only detrlmental and destruotive to our material hiterests - our trade and our commerce, but, what is of a more serious nature, it debases and sears the moral sense and the consclence of our people. That nation which suffers crying inlquities to fo unquesttoned and unpunished i on the downward grade. Statutory enactments are mere dead and llfele8 fulminations unlegs there is a public spirit and a public conscience back of tne law, ready to apply and enforce It, in all oeedful places and on all oeedful occaiiins. We must leave no field open for the communist - and the anarchist. The evii muit be cured in the true American way by methods of law and order."
