Deaths
Dr. W. S. Taylor, of Detroit, son of William Taylor, of Ann Arbor Towd, and cousin to Walter and Jay Taylor, died at his home last Friday. Saturdajevening his remains were brought to the home of his parenta, the funeral taking place from there Monday at 2 p. m. The deceased was twenty-eight years of age. He eraduated from the medical department of the University in 1890 and located in Detroit soon after. In October of last year he married Miss Clara Buttergeld of Oakland Co., thus early widowed. The cause of his death is traced to a strain received in trying an experiment in athletics. Sompthing seemed to give way in his side. He grew rapidly weak, and finally an operation was determined upon, but he died before it could be performed. Dratta f A. Il Flllmore. List Saturday evening Ariel H. Fillmore died of Bright's disease at his resdence No. 69 Spring-st. His funeral occurred Tuesday afternoon, and was in charge of the Ann Arbor Commandery, No. 13, K. T., of which he was a member. He also belonged to the Moslem Temple of the Mystic Shrine of Detroit, Mr. Fillmore was a nephew of President Fillmore, was bom in Dexter township in 1846. In 1867 he married Miss Kittie Alderton, who survives him. About twelve years ago Mr. Fillmore moved into Ann Arbor. At his death he was serving his second term of alderman from the third ward.
