Chicago, Aug. 14. - The six days of racing in the international tournament closed at the South side ball grounds Saturday afternoon with the event of the entire meeting, the international championship at 100 kilometres (G2 miles 739 f eet. ) It was won in phenomenal style by Lawrence S. Meintjes, champion of South África. Following are. the summaries of the races: First race, 1-müe, handicap- J. P. Bliss; time, 2:13 1-5. Second race, quarter-mile, open- A. A. Zimmerman; time, 0:31 2-5. Third race, two-thirds mile, handicap- H. A. Githens; me. 1:28 1-5. Fourth race, 1 milc, international championship- A. A. Zimmerman: time, 2:27 2-5. Fifth race. two-thirds mile, open- H. C. Taylor: time, 1:54 2-5. Sixthrace, 1 mile, consolation - C. T. Neison; time, 3:07 1-5. Seventh race, 1 mile, invitation - J. P. Blisa: time, 2:39 1-5. Eighth race, international championship, 100 kilometers (62 miles "39 feet) ; gold icedal- Li. S. Meinjes, South África, won; time. L::12Ï-S. K. Ulbrecht, Chicago, also flnisned.
