Y., the largest stoekholder and treasurer of the Ann Arbor Water Co., is in the city looking up the affairs of the company. Dr. Hale has many friends in Ann Arbor, having forinerly been in the drug business here. Dr. Hale told the Times reporter that he proposed giving his personal attention to the water works. The company's plant was one of the finest in the country. The interests of the company , the city council and citizens were one, and there could not be any clashing interests. He intended to correct any imperfections so far as may be in the management and he would not rest until the entire plant was put in first class condition. He proposed to investígate the machinery and the water supply and have the latter increased. He intended going home for a week when he would return lo Ann Arbor. His interests in the company were so large that he feit it was his duty to give the matter his entire attention. Th ose who are acquainted with Dr. Hale know how energetic he is and that what he says he means. There is little doubt but that after the present drought is over, which even affects such cities as Kochester and Binghamtor, ÏJ. Y., which have the best supplies in the world, Ann Arbor wil' see ro further trouble.- Times.
