The recital at Frioze Memorial Hal this evening will be a song recita by Miss Alice M. Bailey, assisted by Mr. Stanley, organist. The new organ will be used for the flrst time on that occasion. Dr. Lombord will locture on vocal Physiology in the same place Saturday at 2 M. A lecture ou the Messiah will be given by Prof. Stanley in Frieze Memorial Hall Monday Dec. 18, at 5 P.M. The mian building of the University came vory near being consumed by fire last Friday morning-. Somebody had left a gas jet burning over a roceivor in room 3 of the south wing, which is used as a laboratory, Thursday night. About one o'clock the watchman discovered a fire in the room and with the help of the fireman succeeded in putting it out after about a hundrod dollars worth of damage had been done. Had he not made the discovery just when he did the whole building would probably have joen consumed.
