Sam Kinne is back from kis trip west. Dr. M. R. Eiunt has r-eturned from a western trip. Mrs. Dr. J. N. Martin is in Ohio visitiag her old home. L. J. Leisemer went to Chicago last Thursday on business. Miss B. Williams, of Lansing, is in the city visiting friends. Wm. Condón, of Hancock, is visiting in the city for a few days. Dr. Geore was called to Detroit last Friday on professional business. Miss H. Harmon, of Mansfield, Ohio, is spending a few days in the city. Chas. J. N. Jacobs will clerk in the new shoe store of Jacobs & Allmand. Mrs. R. P. Mason, of Gladstone, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Harriman. Mrs. L. E. Henderson, who has been visiting friends in Mason, has returned home. Mrs. Reuben Kempf and her daughter, Miss Nellle, are visiting friends in S. Dakota. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Henderson, of Big Rapids, visited friends in the city last Friday. Chas. Wagner and family have returned from their summer outing at Wequetonsing. Prof. and Mrs. Paul C. Fresr and Dr. Prescott have returned from their European trip. Mrs. Wm. Denman, of 27 E. Washington-st., is back from a two weeks' visit in Cleveland, Ohio. Revs. Henry Tatlock and E. M. Duff attended the Episcopal convention for Southern Michigan at Tecumseh last Thursday. Geo. H. Pond, of the Courier, has gone to Korth Dakota to spend a week with his son, Llewellyn,who resides at Grand Forks. Mr. and Mrs. Jas. L. Babcock returned last Friday from their summer outing at the sea shoro. '1 hey report having had a delightful time. Mrs. E. A. Gartee, of this city, died at the home of her mother in 8t, Louis, Mich., last Thursday. She was aftlicted with dropsy which caused her death.
