As reported in last weeks REGISTER, some of the bondsmen of ex-county treasurer, Paul G . Sukey, swore out a oomplaint against Mr. Sukey at a late hour last Wednesday night and the sheriff was sent to his home in Pittsfield after him. It seems that the bondsmen are divided upon what todo, some Deing in favor of onforeing the law to the utmost wlúle not a few aro in favor of seeing Mr. Sukey out of his trouble. Ex-sheriff Dwyerrepresented thosewho proposed to put Mr. Sukey through for his defaulting and signed the complaint upon which the arrest was made. The arrest was no sooner made than the fi-iends of the aceused were on hand, and, Justice Pond, before whom the complaint was made, unable to come to his office, called up Justice Gibson and bail was fixed at $5,000 for his appearanco before Justice Pond at 9 a. m. last Thursday. These bonds were signed by John 1Í. Miner and DrKapp. The hearing before Pond has been postponed until a week from tomorrow, Jan. 18. Just what will be the outcome of all these proceedings it is difficult to predict.
